The original house was a 1970’s Bungalow that was occupied by the same people since it was built. The house was very dated and the flow of rooms didn’t make sense
Challenge
To resign the interior layout and to create a large Kitchen/Diner/Family room and 4 large bedrooms
Solution
We decided to gut the house and reconfigure it. We added a small extension to enlarge the living space. We also added a Jack & Jill garage with access directly into the house.
The Result
Magnificent
Homeowners Thoughts
We bought the newly renovated 1970’s bungalow that had just been upgraded and extended by Lucy and Kate from Falcon Properties. The original house was very tired having been occupied by the same owners since it was purchased. Upon entering the house, you stepped into a wide and luxurious hallway with a set of double doors at the end. Behind the double doors are all the bedrooms, which provides privacy not often found in a bungalow setting.
The extended Kitchen / Lounge / Diner is enormous and absolutely the perfect space for entertaining. From the diner, you could go through sliding glass doors that lead out onto a courtyard patio to the side of the house. The original carport was changed into a garage providing direct access into the utility room which is ideal for rainy days. Back in the hallway, you walk through a set of over height double doors to the 4 double bedrooms beyond. The master suite is a testament to how luxurious the house is with a fully fitted walk in wardrobes leading onto the master bathroom. The master suite and adjacent bedroom have floor to ceiling sliding glass doors leading out onto a patio and sunny garden.
My paradise in the centre of Radlett.
